Zerocosttools operates on a simple principle: your data is yours. This page explains exactly what information we collect, what we do not, and why. There are no surprises buried in the fine print.

We do not require you to create an account. We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, or any personally identifiable information simply by using our tools. You are anonymous by default.

Every tool on Zerocosttools processes your files locally in your browser. PDFs, images, and text you work with are never uploaded to or stored on our servers. We never see them.

We may collect anonymous, aggregated usage data — such as which tools are used most often, general geographic region (country level), browser type, and device type. This data cannot be traced back to you as an individual and is used solely to improve the product.

To keep Zerocosttools free, we display ads served by trusted third-party ad networks. These providers may use cookies or similar technologies to show relevant ads based on general browsing context. We do not share any personally identifiable information with advertisers. You can opt out of interest-based advertising through your browser settings or industry opt-out tools such as youronlinechoices.eu.

If you submit a tool request through our request form, we collect only the text of your request. We do not associate it with your IP address or any personal identifier unless you voluntarily include contact information in the message. Submissions are used exclusively to prioritise our product roadmap.

We use browser localStorage to remember your preferences such as favourite tools. This data stays entirely on your device and is never transmitted to our servers. Our ad partners may set cookies to measure ad performance; these are governed by their own privacy policies.

We may use privacy-respecting analytics that do not fingerprint users. Our hosting provider may log standard server access data (IP address, timestamp, URL) for security purposes; this data is retained for no more than 30 days. Ad network partners operate under their own terms.

Because most processing happens in your browser, your files and content are never exposed to our infrastructure. For the minimal data we do hold, we implement reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect it.

Zerocosttools is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has submitted information to us, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete any personal data we hold about you. Because we collect minimal data, there is usually nothing to access or delete. Contact us and we will respond within 30 days.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of Zerocosttools after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
